S-W2C/WC Spherical Cast Carbide (SW2C) is spheroidized cast carbide, the process of spheroidized W2C/WC particles rounds them increasing the particle hardness and thermal stability. SW2C particles are highly spherical with a binary WC/W2C eutectic composition. SW2C is the first choice in the oil industry when wear is an issue and heat input is moderate. For applications where you need to keep cracking to a minimum, protect against the most extreme wear, and impact is low, SW2C is a good choice. A full range of sizes from 40 US Mesh to 325 mesh is commonly used as a wear rate modifier in applications that include PTA, laser, MIG, tube rod, spray fuse, and infiltration
