W2C/WC – Cast Carbide (W2C) is comprised of dense, blocky particles with a binary W2C/WC eutectic composition meaning both W2C and WC particles are present. W2C has great weldability properties, superior erosion resistance, but poor thermal stability. Fort a highly weldable particle with good wear properties and excellent heat control is possible, W2C is a good choice. W2C is available in sizes from 10 US Mesh to 15 microns and is often used to enhance wear rates in applications that include PTA, laser, MIG, tube rod, spray fuse, infiltration and hot-press.
