Tungsten Powders

TUNGSTEN POWDER-Traditional WCT

Traditional Tungsten Powder WCT is commonly produced by hydrogen or carbon reduction of ammonia paratungstate or tungsten oxide.  Tungsten particles are highly irregular in shape and can have varying degrees of internal porosity depending on the method of processing.

Tungsten WCT  has a high density making it useful in ammunition, radiation shielding  and pour in products where a high weight to volume is required. WCT is also used widely in electrical contacts, thermal spray applications and diamond tools.

Powder Particle sizes available from 0.6 to 18µ.

Density 19.25 g/cmᵌ

CRYSTALLINE TUNGSTEN POWDER – CTPM

Crystalline Tungsten Powder is produced by taking standard tungsten and growing the particles into large crystalline material. The particles can be used in a wide variety of applications because of it’s density. CTPM is commonly used in the manufacture of petrochemical drill bits, diamond tools  as well as shape charges for the fracking industry

Common powder sizes include 80X325 MESH, 100X325 MESH, 200X325 MESH, -325 MESH

Density 19.21 g/cmᵌ
